CAD Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our Engineering and Design team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D models that support product development, construction, and manufacturing. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and innovation across our projects. This is a full-time position with hybrid flexibility depending on project demands, and you will report to the Lead Engineer.

You will

• Create, update, and refine 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit; ensure drawings are dimensionally accurate and aligned with design intent.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to interpret specifications and translate ideas into scalable, production-ready technical documentation.
• Apply applicable codes, industry standards, and internal guidelines to all drawings; maintain revision control and clear version history.
• Support prototyping, tooling, or construction processes by producing fabrication-ready drawings and assisting with measurement verification.
• Maintain organized digital files, change logs, and drawing libraries to facilitate traceability and reuse of designs across projects.
• Assist in design reviews by presenting drawings, explaining assumptions, and incorporating feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.

You will come with

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting/Design; professional certification in CAD design preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in CAD-based design with proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Excellent visualization skills and attention to detail with the ability to translate conceptual sketches into precise digital representations.
• Familiarity with engineering or construction documentation practices and standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Compensation

Pay range for this position is $26 – $36 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and project scope. This is a full-time, non-exempt contract role. Final compensation is determined by market factors, internal equity, and project-specific requirements.
