Profile The Project Manager leads cross-functional initiatives from discovery through delivery, converting ambiguous goals into executable plans that land business value on time and within budget. You will align scope, schedule, and cost; facilitate decisions; remove blockers; and keep stakeholders informed with crisp, data-driven updates. This role suits a facilitator who thrives on structure, clarity, and outcomes in a remote-first Hungarian setting.
Description You will manage a portfolio with agile and hybrid delivery models, run sprint ceremonies, maintain project artifacts, and ensure quality gates are met. You will own RAID logs, dependency maps, and change control, and you will partner with Engineering, QA, Design, and Operations to embed test planning and release readiness into the schedule. Occasional travel may be required for key workshops or launches.
Responsibilities
- Define scope, success criteria, and deliverables; build pragmatic charters, WBS, and resource plans aligned to budget and strategic priorities.
- Create integrated schedules and critical paths; manage dependencies and adjust plans proactively as assumptions evolve or risks materialize.
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; track throughput, velocity, and burn trends to forecast delivery and drive continuous improvement.
- Publish concise status reports and stakeholder briefings; surface decisions, trade-offs, and mitigations early; maintain a living RAID log.
- Control scope through structured change management; enforce acceptance criteria and definition of done to protect quality and timelines.
- Partner with QA and Engineering on test strategy, automation coverage, performance requirements, and release gates for production readiness.
- Steward budget and resources: track actuals vs. plan, forecast EAC, and recommend corrective actions to meet financial targets without sacrificing outcomes.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; 3–5 years of project management experience; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred; proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, and Confluence; strong stakeholder facilitation, risk management, and written communication skills.
Benefits Region-aligned paid leave and holidays; remote work setup support; professional development budget for certifications and tools; wellness and ergonomic resources; collaborative communities of practice for knowledge sharing and mentorship.
Compensation Contract rate $36–$50 per hour, varying by project scope, experience, and market factors; paid in local currency. Excludes benefits and incentives.
Department The Enterprise PMO partners across the business to deliver outcomes predictably. You will join a pragmatic, supportive team that values transparency, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.
